Synopsis

This book examines Inka stone masonry, a major hallmark of their culture, as a whole, from stone block extraction to drressing techniques, tool use and stone block transport. The Inkas' five most exploited quarries within the Cuzco region are examined with a special emphasis on the Llama Pit of Rumiqolqa Quarry.
