Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. Fine book block and case in a Very Good jacket. Signed and dated December 1992 by Alfred Kantor. Full color illustrations. Unpaginated. 7.25" x 9.5". Alfred Kantor (19232003) was a Czech Jew who was first imprisoned in the Terezin ghetto, then removed to Auschwitz and, later, Schwarzheide. Immediately after liberation, he produced a book of watercolors depicting day to day life in the camps, some of which were reproductions of sketches he made while imprisoned and which were smuggled out. The Book of Alfred Kantor was first published in 1971. This is a later issued facsimile, faithfully and handsomely reproduced with a biographical introduction by Kantor. . N° de réf. du vendeur 151
