Synopsis

This original series offers a facinating view of social history through the eyes of a living person. Each book is based on the childhood of an actual person using their own photograph album and memories. Newly commissioned photographs of places which still and interviews with friends and relatives give the books a modern day perspective. The books conclude with a reference section on major events of the period and suggestions as to how readers can gather similar information about their own families.
