The view of most contemporary thinkers is that there is no purpose or value in the universe, or in nature. Following on from the success of Does It Matter? Graham Martin sets out to show this viewpoint to be false. He addresses several big issues, including the problem of evil, the mystery of the afterlife, and evidence for a spiritual dimension to human experience. Ultimately he argues that our human intuitions give genuine hope of a moral and rational order in the universe. This fascinating and important book is for all those who want to question the modern-day ruling philosophy.
