Synopsis

Clinical and Resuscitative Data provides, in a clear and accessible format, all the numerical data formulae that are often urgently required in resuscitative and other emergency situations. In addition is is an excellent reference for drug information (with details on dosages and drug interactions) and laboratory data. This book, now in its fifth edition, has over the years evolved to keep pace with the changes in medical practice. Once again, this new edition has been thoroughly revised so that much of the data that is no longer relevant has been dropped, and the most up-to-date information has expanded the sections on haematology, diabetes, renal medicine, toxicology, intensive care, trauma, resuscitation. Much of the text has been rewritten: new drugs have been added; the most recent cardiac resuscitation from the Resuscitation Council are included; and some new algorithms have been incorporated to aid clinical decision making. The format will be reduced from the previous edition to fit more easily into the coat pocket, and so although the extent has increased, the book itself will actually be no bigger.

Présentation de l'éditeur

In a clear and accessible format, Clinical and Resuscitative Data provides the numerical data formulae that are often urgently required in resuscitative and other emergency situations. In addition, it is an excellent reference for drug information (with details on dosages and drug interactions) and laboratory data. Now in its fifth edition, this book continues to keep pace with changes in medical practice and once again it has been thoroughly revised. Irrelevant data has been dropped, the most up–to–date information has been added, and sections on haematology, diabetes, renal medicine, toxicology, intensive care, trauma, and resuscitation have been expanded. Much of the text has been rewritten, new drugs have been added, the most recent cardiac resuscitation from the Resuscitation Council have been included, and some new algorithms have been incorporated to aid clinical decision–making. Finally, the format has been reduced to that of a pocket–sized volume.
