D. Tab Rasmussen, Washington University, St. Louis, was educated at Colorado College (BA) and Duke University, where he received his Ph.D. in Anthropology in 1986. After serving on the faculties at Rice University and UCLA, Dr. Rasmussen joined the Department of Anthropology at Washington University, St. Louis, in 1991. His area of research specialty is the evolution of nonhuman primates, and his fieldwork on three continents includes projects covering a wide range of topics from the origin of primates 55 million years ago to the adaptation of species living today. Professor Rasmussen has been honored with awards for teaching excellence by two student organizations at Washington University for his course on human evolution.
