Facsimile of the first edition published in 1819. William Wentworth was Australia's first native-born patriot, statesman, explorer, orator and promoter. He explains the colony's benefits and defects and their resolution (which he worked on for the next 30 years). He supported Governor Macquarie's expansion and Australia's independence.
