The frontispiece portrait of Isaiah Thomas, a copperplate stipple engraved for the "Freemason's Magazine" of Novermber 1811 by W. R. Jones of Philadelphia, was pulled from the original plate now in the American Antiquarian Society. The title page eagle was drawn specially for this book and is based on elements of two type ornaments from the Binny & Ronaldson type foundry in Philadelphia, whose types Thomas used in printing this work in 1810. An original leaf from that edition, printed by Thomas in Worcester, is included in this Imprint edition. Edited by Marcus A. McCorison. The volume is in perfect condition, unmarked, unread, tight, square, and clean. The publisher's tan slipcase with the facsimile paste-down is also in excellent condition, althought lightly rubbed, but tight and whole.
