Gordon Willamson is the author of numerous books on the Iron Cross, including The Iron Cross: An illustrated history 1813–1945, Aces of the Reich and Infantry Aces of the Reich. He has also written for various magazines, including Antique Arms & Militaria, Military Modelling and Military Illustrated. He lives in Scotland.
