In addition to having been President of India while Nehru was Prime Minister, and the Indian Ambassador to the Soviet Union, he held the Spaulding Chair of Comparative Religion and Ethics at Oxford University. Robert N. Minor is Professor of Religious Studies at The University of Kansas and author of several books, including Modern Indian Interpreters of the Bhagavadgita and Radhakrishnan: A Religious Biography, both published by SUNY Press, and Sri Aurobindo: The Perfect and the Good.
