John Wing was born in Sarnia, Ontario and attended the University of Windsor, neglecting to graduate. He has been a professional standup comedian for 35 years and lives in Sunland, California. He performs all over the world, and can be heard regularly on CBC Radio's The Debaters. This is his ninth collection of poetry.

Along with guest starring on the legendary Tonight Show a total of six times, Wing has also played at nine Just For Laughs comedy festivals, and has over 150 television appearances. One if his best known appearances was on season 8 of America's Got Talent in 2013, during which he remained in the competition until the semi-finals.
