The book covers all U.S. rifle-caliber Browning models and manufacturers, from the "gas hammer" guns made by Colt (and Marlin in WWI) to the recoil-operated Models of 1901, 1910 and the famous water-cooled Model 1917, made by Colt, Remington and Westinghouse; the tank, infantry and aircraft models of 1918 and 1919 and beyond, through the M1917A1 and the air-cooled M1919A4 and M1919A6 of WWII and Korea. Also includes the Colt Interwar commercial models, the most famous of which was the light-weight, fast-firing Colt MG40 aircraft gun, adopted as the M2.
