Addiction is one of the greatest problems of our age, whether involving "socially acceptable" drugs such as alcohol, or "hard" drugs such as opiates. Part Three then looks at practical clinical approaches to relapse prevention, psychosocial treatment, methadone substitution and prospects for the development of pharmacological treatment of substance abuse.
