Synopsis

The first objective of this volume is to present the key issues related to these changes, which were discussed at an international symposium of experts organized by the International Association for People-Environment Studies and Housing and CSBE (Culture and Space in the Built Environment) Networks Network in Istanbul. Roderick Lawrence is professor at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Hulya Turgut is an architect and professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the Istanbul Technical University. Peter Kellett is an architect and social anthropologist whose research focuses on the interrelationship between people and their dwelling environments.
