Synopsis
An introduction to telecommunications network engineering, including voice, data and mobile cellular systems. It takes a non-technical approach to explain the variety of technologies and services available. It covers digital transmission systems; differences between switching techniques; modern technologies such as Gigabit Ethernet Voice over IP and high speed switching; and structure and operation of a digital cellular system.

À propos de l?auteur
Tarmo Anttalainen is a principal lecturer at Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology in Finland, specializing in data communications, public telecommunications networks, and cellular networks. He holds an M.S. in telecommunications from Helsinki University of Technology.
