À propos de l'auteur

James Simpson has always lived in the South Downs and his work is deeply rooted in that area. The Untenanted Room is his second collection in collaboration with the artist and printmaker, Carolyn Trant. His first collection was Hunting the Wren, again in collaboration with artist Carolyn Trant. He teaches part-time at the Open University.

Originally a painter, Carolyn Trant has been making Artists Books for 20 years mostly woodcut books, but also collagraphs and drypoint. Her work has been bought by individual and institutional collections across the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA, including the V&A National Art Library, British Library, Tate and the American Library of Congress. She shows regularly at the Whitechapel London Art Book Fair and Oxford Fine Press Fair and others.
