This book was originally published in 'The Sportsmans Library' in 1935, "and captures perfectly the flavour of stalking as it was practised between the wars. .and although it is dated, and although many of Chalmers' basic assumptions have changed, it still remains one of the finest books on stalking for beginners. It should be given to all who are starting out for the hill for they will learn much and get much enjoyment from it."
