Special sections deal with the heraldic laws and customs of the 'Sovereign and Military Order of Malta' and the 'Order of the Holy Sepulchre'. In addition to the chapters on heraldry in the Church of England and Oriental Churches, a special section about heraldry in the Church of Scotland has been added to this extensively revised and enlarged second edition. Archbishop Heim (1911-2003) was a council member of the International Academy of Heraldry and the Swiss Heraldic Society and a member of many heraldic academies and societies.
