Teasdale-Buckell was editor of "Land and Water" for the last fifteen years of the nineteenth century. After much discussion of style, stance, guns and patterns, he devotes a chapter each to all of the famous gunmakers of the period. An important and fascinating book from the early days of breech-loaders and smokeless powder. This facsimile edition does not have the page showing updates to the Record Game Register followed by several pages of adverts that are found in some issues of the first edition. .
