Présentation de l'éditeur

Chicken soup goddess? Kvetch-monster? Or just a Jewish mother raising children in the real world? For Generations's writers explore the experience of Jewish motherhood, across the spectrum, from the religious to the secular Jewish communities. Subjects include mothers in the Hebrew Bible, Jewish mothers in film, mixed faith families, motherhood among the strictly Orthodox, and Jewish women who don't have children... The editors do not take sides, allowing individual writers their own voice. Whether in the Diaspora or in Israel, maintaining tradition or creating new ritual, here is Judaism in all its diversity being handed on from one generation to the next. For Generations will be of interest people of Jewish or other faiths and those interested in parenting.
