Paperback small wide trade, good condition, black & white photos, sticker scuff mark top corner front cover, spine ends little rubbed, minor edgewear, minor annotation inside rear cover. 128 pp. This study discusses Alfred Willis and his Anglican mission work, set against the broader canvas of the dominant religio-political force in Tonga, that is, those churches that had their origins in the Christian gospel brought by Wesleyan missionaries in the early 19th century. It is not a biography of Alfred Willis, rather an effort to assess the impact of Willis on Tonga, and Tonga on Willis. Stephen Donald largely researched and wrote this book whilst resident at Sia-a-toutai Theological College, Tonga, in 1988-89. He is now an Anglican priest in the Diocese of Waiapu, New Zealand and works in the Gisborne area. N° de réf. du vendeur 31234
