A great copy for collectors of antique comics from the Platinum Age of comics. Original owner. This is a facsimile of a 1907 newspaper comic strip collection. The Outbursts of Everett True ran from 1907 to 1927 and had an overweight curmudgeon main character who took offense at the slightest annoyance. The editor collected only the most timeless of the strips to give readers a feel for what it was like living in early 20th century America. Many of the situations are still valid today. Everett True was an authentic anti-superhero for his time. This book is from a very small publisher located in Vestal NY founded by Harvey Roehl (1924 - 2000). Vestal Press was best known for books on servicing pianos, player pianos and mechanical instruments. This was a one-off book for them and likely published in a very limited edition. According to an article published on-line before he passed away, Roehl wrote that the company "reprinted just about anything that we thought would sell at least 100 copies." This means there were at least 100 copies printed but not many more since the publisher relied mostly on mail-order sales through their catalog. N° de réf. du vendeur 000483
