Ruth Katz is Emanuel Alexandra Professor of Musicology at the Hebrew University, and co-editor, with Carl Dahlhaus, of Contemplating Music, a four-volume study of the philosophy of music. She is equally interested in methodological aspects of ethnomusicological research.
