After trying her hand in theatre and films, Montrealer Anne Dandurand has devoted all her time to writing. The author of numerous short story collections and novels, four of her books have been translated into English. Dandurand has participated in events across North America as well as the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland and Holland.

Claire Dé was born in Montreal in 1953, three minutes before Anne Dandurand, her identical twin. After working as a set and costume designer, she wrote many one-act plays for the stage and radio. She has published several short stories and novels, including "Le désir comme catastrophe naturelle" (1998), Sourdes amours (1993) Sentimentale á l'os, Quatre pièces en un acte (1991), Chiens divers (1991) and Hôtel Septième-ciel (2011).

Hélène Rioux is the translator of 15 novels by Lucy Maude Montgomery, as well as works by Bernice Morgan and Yann Martel. She lives in Montreal, Quebec.

Luise von Flotow is a translation studies professor at the University of Ottawa. She has translated a number of books for Guernica, including Doubly Suspect, Girls Closed In, and The Stalinist's Wife She lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
