Vendeur : Between the Covers-Rare Books, Inc. ABAA, Gloucester City, NJ, Etats-Unis
Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Near Fine. First edition. Fine in near fine lightly worn dustwrapper. Inscribed by the author on the title page: "Arthur, Thanks for your Support - Larry Smith 3/28/2000." The book is inscribed to Arthur Sturcke a little-remembered painter and pacifist who exhibited in the 1930s and 1940s, and who did much to help and support Patchen. Laid in are two letters from Patchen's wife, Miriam, talking about the old days and mentioning the release of this biography, along with what appears to be either Sturcke's unsent letter to Miriam or a retained copy in which comments on the biography and its author: "Too bad he [Smith] never came east to fill in his portrait with testimony of those of us who remain." Also included is a bookmark in honor of Miriam Patchen upon her death and a copy of a photograph of Patchen and Strucke together. N° de réf. du vendeur 439297
