Trade Paperback. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" THE FINEST IMAGINABLE PRESENTATION COPY of this major antiwar novel. Warmly signed and inscribed by author to his former wife and fellow antiwar activist, Denise Levertov: 'For Den, once again with love, Mitchie.' Levertov and Goodman were two of the most prominent activists in the movement opposed to the war in Vietnam. Goodman was convicted in the 'Boston Five' or Spock trial and sentenced to two years in prison (later overturned on appeal). This novel, first published in 1961, was here reissued in 1980. He and Levertov were married from 1947 to 1980. A great personal and literary association between these two prominent activists. Very good copy in the original black and white wraps (minor surface and edge wear, minor spotting to edges). N° de réf. du vendeur 005510746
