The New York painter and graphic artist Eric Fischl (b. 1948) was in the eighties known to relentlessly unmasking snapshots of the American middle class. Its areal realism formulated subtle least ambiguous situations, sometimes with quite also aggressive undertones. For his project "Scenes and Sequences" he created a series of monotypes, created specifically as offset lithographs for this artist's book. Like the originals, the high quality reproductions are kept in two format which has two side format to follow. Half of the images is printed on the other on a format of cm. The American writer Edgar Lawrence Doctorow (b. 1931), one of America's most important contemporary writers, has dealt with the project and contributed a text. This unique art project in this artist's edition as it were still alive and for collectors and bibliophiles an attractive exception piece with now almost even historical value! (English text).
