"Timothy Steele studied with the poet J.V. Cunningham. The influence of formal masters like Cunningham and Yvor Winters, a force at Stanford for much of the early 20th century, is apparent in Steele's poetry, which is notable for its allegiance to traditional forms, meters, and rhyme schemes."-poetry foundation. Soft cover. Etat : Near Fine. 1st Edition, Limited Edition. One of 300 copies, all softcover. This copy shows light tanning to spine and around edges. Signed by Steele at the colophon, which presents an interesting conundrum. The colophon states 300 copies, of which 25 are lettered A to AA, 265 are numbered, and 10 are hors de commerce. But this copy is clearly numbered 272; you do the math! Laid in is an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet from the press folded in half, with information on Steele, book price, etc. Might the inclusion of this sheet make this a review copy? This copy Near Fine.
