Synopsis

Abigail Child's Scatter Matrix experiments with language as her films play with image. Alien constructions of words are built from familiar phrases. Psychology presents as a grid of possibilities rather than an emotional tangle. Readers are pulled into the poetry by what they know and then shown how these common ways of speaking and writing are composed out of surprising possibilities.
