A good guide to river and stillwater game and coarse fisheries in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Hampshire, Wilstshire and Dorset, with plenty of anecdotes and advice as to techniques. "Michael Shephard, an angler and fishing writer of great experience, discusses not only the famous rivers such as the Tamar, the Exe, the Torridge, the Taw and Avon but also a great many smaller streams which provide marvellous days. He ranges widely over the lakes and reservoirs, some famous like Blagdon and Wimbleball, but many others not so well known.
