A topographical poem, written whilst walking fifty miles through London. It has been adapted for performance as Monument for a Witness, directed by Mark Rylance, and was first performed at the Southbank Centre, London, in 2007.

Sean Borodale was Northern Arts Fellow of the Wordsworth Trust in 1999 where he wrote Walking to Paradise, and was Guest Artist at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam in 2002. Notes for an Atlas is his first book.
