A naturally fluent English translation that captures the literary power and narrative flow of the Qur’an.
Many English translations of the Qur’an focus so strictly on literal, word-for-word translation that the soul, majesty, and natural rhythm of the language are left behind, making the text feel like a functional rulebook to be decoded. This stilted approach can disrupt your reading experience and create a barrier to emotional and spiritual connection. This celebrated rendering by Shaykh Abdalhaqq and Aisha Bewley solves this by using a meticulous “meaning-for-meaning” approach that allows the verses to flow naturally in elegant, contemporary English. Arranged in clear paragraphs rather than disjointed lines, it preserves the stories and context beautifully, helping you experience the true literary miracle of the text and connect deeply with the word of Allah.
Translated by Shaykh Abdalhaqq and Aisha Bewley, two of the most trusted voices in the English-speaking Muslim world, who dedicated over two decades of study to this text. Aisha Bewley is one of today’s most prolific translators of classical Arabic texts into English and was awarded Muslim Woman of the Year 2023 for her efforts. Shaykh Abdalhaqq Bewley has spent decades studying the deen and teaching globally, currently serving as the Chair of the British Board of Scholars and Imams.
Order this book today to experience a peaceful, uninterrupted reading of the Qur’an that speaks directly to the soul.
