Synopsis
The 'real' story of how David Beckham conquered Spain. Alex Leith travels the length and breadth of this vast country in the England captain's footsteps, watching all his matches and mingling with everyone from the Real Madrid ultras to the English press pack. Leith sneaks into press conferences, blags his way into the Real training ground and even comes face to face with Beckham himself in his quest to tell the real story of the English icon's first season in Spain. À propos de l'auteur
Alex Leith is a Barcelona-based sports and travel writer who contributes to The Independent, The Guardian, Time Out and the Times Education Supplement. He has written several sports books including Ryan Giggs: Genius at Work (Andre Deutsch) and Over the Moon Brian: The Language of Football (Macmillan) and written for numerous sports magazines including Men's Health and Four Four Two.
