Présentation de l'éditeur

Structured as inter-related scenes that span the period from the early 1900s to the present day, the narrative of Time Secret takes place in Buenos Aires, Warsaw and London. It moves across time and space with the predicament of a European Jewish family struggling to settle and survive in a new world, the loneliness of a young couple dazzled by London in the 60s, the ideology underpinning life in the hippy communes of the 70s. Like large strokes in a painting, and yet intimately conveying the inner world of its characters, this is a meditation on trans-generational trauma and the impossibility of returning to a no longer existing home. The text does not follow a linear narrative and it unfolds through more than one voice, echoing the way in which the mind produces associations in the process of eliciting and exploring memory. The complex and, at times, fragmented stories challenge and extend the emotional imagination of the reader.
