The availability of weather information for sailors has grown rapidly in recent years. Hitherto dreamed of quantities of data can now be transmitted to the sailor, anywhere in the world, in a matter of seconds. However, using and understanding this data is another matter, and that is why GRIB for Sailors has been written. It explains in non-scientific, easy to use language the step by step process of retrieving GRIB data, what it means, and how to interpret the predictions it makes. Armed with such information sailors can enhance their sailing activities, from day cruising to ocean racing. This book is intended for use as much on board as at home and therefore is published in electronic format to enable easy reference whilst at sea.
