We've received many inquiries about how more detailed information on the art of 'cold reading' can be obtained. Here is the definitive answer to that question. Our friend Ian Rowland, in the UK, is probably the world's leading authority on the subject, and now the new edition of his book, 'The Full Facts Book of Cold Reading' is available. / In the book, Ian says clearly that it is written for the interested person who wants to be able to decide whether or not a 'reading' was done by psychic means, or by 'cold reading'. No other book I know of will provide this information. Every aspect of this art that I can think of, is represented here in detail, and it provided me with additional information I simply did not have. Highly recommended! --James Randi, JREF website

A superb book, relentlessly intelligent and fiercely methodical! Its pages systematically unravel every deceptive strategy of thinking and rhetoric in 'psychic' character reading. --Teller, of 'Penn & Teller'

The definitive work, and long overdue. Has many applications to mind magic, close-up, and any inter-active performance. --Derren Brown

Biographie de l'auteur

I am a writer, trainer and entertainer based in London, UK. Around the world I am perhaps better known as 'Ian who from where?'. // If you are fond of credentials that sound faintly impressive, I have trained FBI agents, lectured to the British Olympics team and advised the government's Ministry Of Defence on deception and how to defend against it. // My main passion is travelling and seeing the world. It's very likely that I'm the only man you'll ever meet who has been to Komodo Island to see the giant dragons and to Easter Island to see the stone statues. My visit to Easter Island was timed so I would be there on Christmas Day. Why? Because it's funnier. // Most of my time is spent sitting in coffee shops with friends and drinking tea. I like tea and I like my friends even more, because they're all incredibly talented and wonderful people. // If you want to drop me a line and say 'Hi', that's great. If you don't, that's great too.
