Apprenticed to Vickers, Ken s National Service gave him four memorable years in the Merchant Navy, after which he joined Swan Hunter where he spent the rest of his working life. This book is a record of his memories of life at sea and in the shipyard. Now retired, Ken and his wife Joan have two daughters and live in Northallerton.
