Paperback. Etat : Good. No Jacket. Original owner has covered the book in clear sticky-back plastic, a mark inside front cover where an address label (?) has been removed, minor scuffing to outer corners of cover, a muddy mark inside back cover and on the last few pages, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this soft-cover book. An account of the trial of Patrick Sellar in 1816, when he was accused of culpable homicide in that he caused the death of an old woman who died of burns after Sellar's men set fire to her house in 1814 when evicting tenants of the Sutherland Estates at Strathnaver. Unsurprisingly, Sellar was found not guilty after a one-day trial. 158pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. N° de réf. du vendeur 011681
