Synopsis

The first collection from this award-winning poet who, as Seamus Heaney remarked, 'provides an answer to Frost's wish for poems about subjects common in experience but rare in books'. Although many of his poems are about ordinary things, they are not ordinary poems. Robert Nye described Cameron's writing as possessing 'a quality of verbal alchemy by which it transmutes the base matter of common experience into something like gold'. The Bright Tethers was listed among the Sunday Herald's Books of the Year for 2016.
