This is McConnell's irreverent anecdotal account of how approximately 100 male staff of Casoc / Aramco, 2 women nurses, and their Saudi assistants "struggled during the early years of the Second World War to perform the tasks required in holding the vast Saudi Arabian oil concession [with] enemy armies drawing uncomfortably close". Their camp had shrunk to about a quarter of its original size, as wives and children had been shipped home, and their sense of isolation increased when the US entered the war. He supplements his own notes with input from 25 colleagues among them Les Snyder and Floyd Ohliger who went on to become Vice Presidents, and Thomas Barger who became CEO, and two others who visited during the period. Scarce, with Worldcat listing 16 locations, none on Jisc. N° de réf. du vendeur 4418
