Opened in 1851 and part of the rural cemetery movement, this is a collection of black and white photos of Mount Mora interspersed with essays on the cemetery, its architecture and its residents. Mount Mora is the final resting place of three Missouri governors, two pony express riders and Civil War Generals from both the Union and the Confederacy. Essays contributed by Conger Beasley, Hans P. Bremer, Jim Lehr, Suzanne Staker Lehr, Ben Vineyard, Marshall White.
