From the time we are young children, we are asked what we plan to do when we grow up. What kind of job will we hold? What profession are we going to pursue? What subject will we study in school? The emphasis has been on what we will be doing or who we want to be, but not necessarily how to get there: what it takes to reach our goals, make our dreams come true, and realize our potential. We have traditionally lacked practical guidelines on how to transform an income producing activity into an enriching experience that enables us to put our talents to work while meeting the expectations of our employer and the demands of the organization. This book is a guide for employees to achieve greater satisfaction and upward mobility within their jobs. Dr. Laura Lyons has accumulated knowledge and expertise from years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and has designed relevant guidelines that can increase an employee's value and visibility within the workplace. She has identified the different elements that pave the road to success and has presented them in a readable and timely fashion. These tools bring forth hidden talents and highlight your unlimited potential!
