Synopsis

Headhunter Poems is a collection of poetry written in a simple, direct style. Here at last are poems that don’t hide their meaning in word-play or metaphor. Sharp, clear images guide the eye on a tour of a unique poetic world. The material has a broad scope, dealing with a wide range of subjects. Some paint lovable portraits of local streets, alleys, dives and dumps. Others veer into the political realm, examining greed, waste, and environmental damage. The poet also draws on his extensive job experience to give vivid descriptions at weird workplaces on off-hour shifts. From the humorous to the poignant, from the political to the natural, Headhunter Poems takes the reader on a manic mental ride.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Ken Greenley is a writer and poet living and working in Denver, Colorado. The number of places he's lived is only exceeded by the number of jobs he's had. Greenley likes to explore the themes of class division (in a supposedly classless country), the struggle to stay spiritual in the modern world, and first-time experiences of any kind. The main mission of his writing is to make people laugh and think at the same time.
