Synopsis

This is a gem of a book that will not fail to entertain, uplift and inspire. Short, snappy and sometimes humorous zen-like koans that give profound insights into the true, inner, mystical teachings of Jesus-and everyday life. It turns out Jesus was a Zen master, even before Zen had been "invented." The book is not organized in a linear fashion - in true Zen style - but gives commentary on a wide variety of topics that are of interest to all people who are open to the spiritual side of life. If you have had enough of the stuffy image of Jesus presented by mainstream Christianity, this book will give you a new appreciation for the depth of Jesus' mystical teachings. The book has short chapters, and each chapter consists of a number of short koans, most only a few lines long. It is therefore ideal as a relaxing meditation before going to sleep or for a few minutes of relief from a busy schedule. Simply a must-read for the spiritual seeker with a sense of curiosity and humor.
