About the author

Michael V. Hazel is editor of Legacies, a publication devoted to the history of the Dallas and North Texas area. He is author of Dallas: A History of Big D, and he is an adjunct professor of history at Southern Methodist University. He holds a PhD in history from the University of Chicago.
