James R. McCormick, an ecumenical leader and a trial court judge, was inspired to write this book after his first visit to the Holy Land as "just another tourist." Subsequent visits and his investigative skills and experience as a veteran traveler enabled him to gather everything a pilgrim needs for a life-changing experience. McCormick resides in Traverse City, Michigan, with his wife Marilyn; they have three adult children.
