Trade Paperback. Etat : Very Good. First Edition. 90 Pages. No defects noted. No marks or stamps of any sort. Done in Iambic feet style, (2-4-6-8-2. Explanation of the origin of vignette. As a senior in high school, the author was introduced to cinquaines, a form of poetry, not unlike Haiku for its concise, metaphorical energy and style. The author uses five lines rather than four. His vignette was born, retaining the iambic meter, but of five lines rather than four. This is an old form of meter. It was used in epic poems centuries old. The cinquaines were, four lines of 2-4-6-2, iambic feet and the author's is 2-4-6-8-2. This compromise allowed him much greater lee-way to do his thing; and so, it was born. His first vignette: Oh how, strange that life must, contain joy for the sad, sorrow that yesterday possessed, my heart. Dr. Mabray has lived the good life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He loves fishing, gardening, art, reading, rock hounding, Indian artifacts and rugs. He did this book, not for a prize, but to surprise friends and family and stop watching T.V.
