Flux Kingdom is a prose poetry volume that unbinds hybrid myths and shifting realities beginning from the 1944 Channel crossing to Normandy and into other mythos wherein the author's world opens. Emotional, the work progresses to the discovery of the forces of identity and poetry in the vortex of shifting states. Part solution, part ward, Flux Kingdom redefines a topography of spirit necessary for the modern world.

Patrick Mackay lives and writes in Santa Barbara, California. Flux Kingdom is his eighth volume among seven previous works. A working writer, Mackay's poetry is balanced with detail, form, ecstatic perception, and sensibility. His work has been chosen for "Best of the Decade" in the Hawaii Pacific Review, and most recently he has had a short story volume chosen for Honorable Mention in Glimmer Train's Fiction Contest. Ranging from the particular insight to the sublime resonance that is poetry's mot just, Mackay's career, in total, is, although outside of American Letters, becoming distinguished.
