Comes complete with its own stories about: mice, rabbits, gophers, sparrows, skunks, and dogs. Takes place near Shamrock and Bateman, Sakatchewan. Do you remember the (rural) Standon School ? Text assisted by a few b/w photographs and drawings. 108 pages. Cond : Paper wrapper is buff coloured with brown lettering and graphics. Front cover graphic (wraps-around) is of a run-down farmstead near a three elevator prairie town. Staples tight, colours bright, minimal soiling. No marks, small tear at bottom hinge. Excellent reading copy. Quote (p. 36) : " My parents classified a couple of books as restricted.
