Of the 144 rockers who start the marathon, over 30 are hauled away to the hospital having had one kind of breakdown or another. But the book is far more than a documentary, it is a journey through the inner and outer landscapes of a young Kentucky wilderness rebel poet who has returned home for the first time since he left for good when he was 17. Ron Whitehead is poet, writer, editor, publisher, organizer, scholar, professor. He is the author of 29 books 37 CD’s.
